NYPD Fail, Part 2

Has anyone noticed that the NYPD is very predictable? If you travel on the Staten Island ferry, you will notice exactly how predictable the NYPD is. How exactly are they keeping the passengers safe when they always search the bicyclists, regardless of the size of their bag, and only check "large" bags of the passengers that walk on?

Now, far be it for me to tell an inept government agency how to better violate my rights, but it seems that aside from rust and crashing into the docks, passengers have the incompetence of the NYPD to fear. With no more than 20 trips, at various time of day and night, an utter moron (with the obvious exception being a NYC police officer) can observe the flaws in this system and plan something potentially cataclysmic. I'm not giving anybody any ideas (there are enough sick fucks out there, without my giving them suggestions), but I am considering swimming from Brooklyn to Staten Island, from now on.
